When Rus placed his hand on the doorknob, a tingling sensation spread throughout his body. He took a deep breath and steadied his thoughts.

Paulinekovaleva

He had no idea what was behind that mysterious green door, but something told him that it was important. After a few seconds of hesitation, his curiosity finally won over, and Rus pushed the door open.

Psychos-R-Us

He pushed the door open, and walked into the room. It was dimly lit with a couple lamps on small tables on either side of two couches, the television on the wall was left on, with nothing but snow.

RusMan

As he continued to observe the room that he had just stepped in, he contemplated on the many memories that he had in this place. However as he stood there, he could have sworn he heard a quiet noise from somewhere behind him...

He turned back around to look outside the door, but he didn't see anything at first. But a few seconds later, he saw something flicker out of the corner of his eye.

BusyCityGirl

Rus was confused and nervous. He thought this old secret spy base of his was supposed to be abandoned.

EtherealSpirit

He looked around and pulled out his cell phone. After dialing Ben, he waited for him to pick up, hoping that it won't end of in his voice message box...

Psychos-R-Us

He called, no answer. He redialed and then got a message of Ben saying "Text me scrub." Something moved from the inside of the base.

RusMan

He suddenly began to find himself pondering many things. Why was he at this place in the first place, why did he have recollections of that particular room, and who was this Ben person again?

Slicer Vorzakh

Rus decided to go back to the room and lay on the couch. He noticed that someone had left a note on a table next to the sofa with writing that appeared Russian.

BusyCityGirl

After staring at it for some time, curiosity got the best of Rus and he leaned over and opened the note. Although he recognized the words on top to be Russian, inside was something entirely different.

Paulinekovaleva

The note contained some sort of strange code, one that Rus didn't recognize. Perhaps it was in a different language, but the symbols didn't match anything he knew either; he had more and more questions, just blankly staring at it the piece of paper confusion and not knowing what to do.

Psychos-R-Us

He continued to stare at the paper, turning it sideways and upside down, holding it in front of a mirror that he found, until he gave up and sat down on the couch. Then he felt a fist grab his hair and a knife being pressed against his throat.

RusMan

He woke up in a rush in bed in a cold sweat. Was that how his day would unfold, since that day was the day that he was going to return to that room?

Slicer Vorzakh

After he got up, he checked his phone, seeing that he got a new message. It was from a number he had never seen, with the name Ben. The message was in the same Russian looking dialect as the note in his dream.

BusyCityGirl

Thoroughly freaked out, Rus trembled as he dialed the mysterious number. Ben's Pizza Delivery in Russia answered an apologized for calling a wrong number. Relieved a bit, Rus chuckled to himself about how strangely dreams interpret things and clutched his precious briefcase as he sped away in his blue sports car toward the old abandoned base.

Psychos-R-Us

He parked his blue z4 in his very own parking space and walked inside the nondescript building that resembled any other building in downtown minus the presence of two guards standing right inside the doorway, armed with AR-15 tactical assault rifles.

BusyCityGirl

Pausing while reaching for the door handle to his green office door, Rus smiled as he realized he wasn't as nervous as he was when doing this in his dream. He slipped inside, flicked on his flashlight, opened a drawer in a lamp stand, pressed the secret button, and buried the briefcase in a secret compartment that opened in the floorboards under the lamp.

Psychos-R-Us

He stood in the middle of the room and surveyed it. Nothing out of the usual for it, typical couches, typical lamps and end tables, typical television showing the national news, typical everything. Until the television suddenly turned to static.

BusyCityGirl

Rus knew this was the signal. He dashed out the back door and pulled his sunglasses on.

Psychos-R-Us

He ran out to the outside parking lot and was immediately shot at by an unseen assailant. He ducked behind a car and pulled out his pistol.
